Day 71

Tomorrow is my brother's birthday. He's turning thirteen, entering teenagedom and I can't believe it. With Halloween being about a week ago, it reminded me of one of my favorite memories with my brother. I was six and he was almost three, my parents had the adorable idea of having us do a costume together for Halloween, me as Ariel and him as Flounder. I was much less pleased with the idea than they were, but I rolled with it. After a few hours of trick-or-treating, we came back home and decided to put on a movie. My family's a big fan of Charlie Brown, so we put on "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". My brother and I snuggled together for a while until we both dozed off, exhausted from our candy-eating shenanigans. My parents didn't want to wake us, so we stayed there until morning, surrounded by candy wrappers and blankets.

Happy Birthday, Cole!
