Day 61

I could hear what she was saying but I didn't know how exactly to respond. As soon as I decided to look over, she was gone and already halfway back down the steep pathway. For some reason, I didn’t bother calling after her. A couple of minutes passed and I went down the path, the light from the sun started to dim as we were approaching the end of the afternoon. The sun glittered with pinks and oranges unlike any I had seen before, briefly distracting me from my impending loss of a best friend.
