Here's another revision of some of my past work...

Hayden knew he needed to apologize, he just didn't know how to say it. Apologies weren’t his forte, especially given that he wasn’t usually the one who apologized. After all, he was a smart and mature boy for his age. He also couldn’t really wrap his head around what he even did wrong in the first place. That’s how kisses went down in the movies, after breaking the girl’s heart the boy would kiss her to patch it all up, but in Hayden’s case, it just made things worse.
