Day 55

Here's something from a while ago that I decided to revise today...

The two of them laughed through the following hours, remarking on stories from years ago and moments that made them smile. Ingram realized that he had never talked to someone this much about his life outside of the bubble of his family. He thoroughly enjoyed talking to someone he knew nothing about. As unusual as the Wells children’s lives are to the average person, they were quite mundane and normal to those living them. Hallie’s life as an only child who went to a regular school with regular kids could not be more interesting to Ingram Wells. The concept of having a true choice of friends his own age was baffling to him. Ingram knew this was how other people lived, but hearing it straight from someone’s mouth made it sound more real. Hallie told him all about her days at school, going from class to class with friends and having lunch in the cafeteria. Unlike most kids, his age, brick-and-mortar school sounded like an oasis to him.
