Day 520

While in Paris, I really enjoyed the sight seeing aspect of the trip and really appreciated being able to see such unique spaces in the famous city of Paris. My specific favorite places that we went to were the Versailles Palace and the Sainte Chapelle Church. I really admired their unique beauty and simultaneous historical relevance in French history. I was able to use my knowledge from AP Art History when visiting different places, such as identifying the types of columns displayed or recognizing what eras the pieces were from. The knowledge was specifically helpful in the Musee D’Orsay and the Louvre Museum. It was very cool to see extremely famous works such as the Mona Lisa at the Louvre during our tour. Despite being tired from jet lag and lots of walking, I tried to soak up every moment in Paris for its uniqueness, such as being at the Eiffel Tower with all of my peers.
