Day 480

All 70,000 of us in the crowd were personally invited to the almost fictional world of Taylor Swift through her enchanting opener. She was able to mix together hundreds of well known hits and some underrated gems seamlessly. My favorite sections from the show were from her albums “Fearless” and “folklore”, as well as her performance of “the last great american dynasty”, which was showstopping, with interesting dance performances that told a fascinating backstory of Swift’s own Rhode Island home. I think that some of the beauty of her concerts lies in the fact that everyone has a different association with each song, yet the audience screams at the top of their lungs together. I’ve seen a number of artists in concert over the years, and I can certainly say that the crowd at the Eras tour was likely one of the most friendly groups of people I’ve interacted with. By the end of the concert, I had exchanged multiple friendship bracelets with complete strangers, purely out of fan camaraderie. The trend originated from her lyric, “So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it,” and fans have really and truly run with it.
