Day 472


My spine tingled all the way down into my legs as I covered my ears in horror. Mom wrapped her arms around me, expecting the fallout. Clumpy tears rolled down my face and onto my lap while my heart beat faster and faster. A million eyes stared at me, analyzing my reaction as babyish and meek. I looked over at the balloons, only remnants left on the floor to be thrown away. My butterfly was now only a smudge, a good moment perished.
