I couldn’t help but fantasize about our future days together as sisters, running in the rain or splashing around in the pool. I adored her lilac onesie covered in ruffles, thinking about dressing her up in princess gowns with tiaras once she got old enough. My godmother looked over my shoulder to get a look at her face, a few small tears forming in her eyes, incedently forming in mine as well. It felt like we had been waiting years to meet her, even though we had never met before, that this was somehow a reunion after seeing her in my head all those months. The seven years I had spent without her felt completely unimportant, now all that was left was a lifetime of smiles, laughter, and joy.
