Day 366

If someone had told me that I’d be elected to student government for my senior year, I would’ve laughed in their face. Not because I never had an interest, but more because if some of my classmates saw me on the street, I’m convinced they’d have zero idea who I was. Regardless, I decided to have a crack at it, so I wrote a speech that I knew would be crowd pleasing, filled with quips about the excessively long lunch lines and drama over our senior theme (I still wish it was disco). Stepping out and speaking in front of an entire room of faces was of course overwhelming, but I just kept on going as I always try to do. To my utter shock, I was elected as Student Council Representative. Turns out people liked me more than I thought.
