Day 34

We could not have been happier and practically yanked her out of my mom’s arms and placed her carrier on the floor. I connected with her glittering blue eyes and immediately knew she would be my best friend. I couldn’t help but fantasize about our future days together, riding in the sunshine on bikes or splashing around in the pool. I adored her blush onesie covered in ruffles, thinking about dressing her up in princess gowns once she got old enough. My godmother looked over my shoulder to get a look at her face, a few small tears forming in her eyes. It felt like we had been waiting years to meet her, even though we had never met before, that this was somehow a reunion after seeing her in my dreams. The seven years I had spent without her felt completely unimportant, now all that was left was a lifetime of smiles, laughter, and joy.
