Day 318

Back during the summer before 9th grade, I knew I wanted to join a sport that upcoming Fall. It was the thick of the pandemic, so I initially didn’t think it would be possible because of the limited opportunities and my lack of experience. After some research, I decided to try to take up golf. At first I looked absolutely ridiculous, swinging the club back and forth with a jolting motion so strong that I knocked myself over a few times. After watching some tutorials and taking a couple of lessons, I decided that I was going to try out for the school team. After a Zoom with the coach and showing off some of my strokes, he decided that I would be a good fit, even though it was my first year playing golf ever. I have now been playing golf at school for the past three years, and I plan to continue during my senior year. I have learned so much about hard work, consistency, and patience from the sport of golf and I can’t wait to continue improving through the years.
