Day 304

This is the subjective side of my story for my class...

There was a clear afternoon sky, free of clouds or even birds flying overhead. I sat in my bed, completely bored, with no idea what to do with myself. I had already gone in the pool, went on a walk, seen a movie, and played with my dogs. Nothing seemed to satisfy my bottomless pit of boredom. Summer was proving to be less than eventful and I was desperate to make plans with somebody. Then, almost like magic, I got a text from a phone number that I didn’t recognize. She told me her name and that she was going to be new to my school that coming year as a junior. I wondered how she had gotten my number in the first place, but I thought it was nice that she reached out. I took a minute to think of what to respond and then sent a short text back. I asked if she’d want to meet up sometime before school started and she quickly replied that she would. I was thrilled that I finally had something to do and that I could maybe make a new friend in the process.
