Day 297

I recently read "We Asked 11 Americans Why It's So Difficult to Trust One Another" from the New York Times. To put it plainly, this article made me sad. I stumbled upon it while trying to decide what to read and the title stuck out to me unlike anything I'd seen. I think it was so jarring because there really is a lack of trust amongst neighbors, classmates, and even families on such a varying array of issues. Not even on a national level, there is a lack of a bond between generations, even with shared interests. I believe that the greatest changes come from a belief in other people. . If we hope to enact change in any capacity, we should start by really believing that we can all do it, as a group, in the first place. Coming together for the better is the only way anything positive will ever get done.
