Day 212

Sorry I missed yesterday, I was at a Taylor Swift concert! I had an amazing time, it was such a good show.

Here's a snippet of an environmental essay I wrote for English class that I decided to revise...

“The sky is on fire, and there’s nothing I can do about it,” I thought to myself. There had been news reports all day of an approaching wildfire heading towards Los Angeles. I never believed it would ever really affect me, at least until halfway through the school day. I was in sixth grade when I heard over the intercom that they would be evacuating students immediately. Naturally, being 11 years old, my class rejoiced in claps and cheers that we got to go home for the day. We all quickly packed our backpacks and headed toward the gym to be picked up. We were greeted with rows of gym mats for sick students to lay on due to smoke inhalation.
