Day 210

Sorry I missed yesterday, I was on a red eye flight. This may be published slightly after midnight, but I'll count it as Day 210.

I am generally against changing books for the sake of making it more appropriate for the modern day reader. Depending on the level of editing, I do think that some authors of earlier times' work can feel dated, specifically when it comes to cultural stereotypes and excessive violence that is not appropriate for young kids. Although there are some books that could use some structural changes, books that are simply outdated can serve as insightful looks into the linguistics of the time at which the book was published. Exposing kids to different, rarely used words could be a great learning opportunity. I think simple word changes for the sake of keeping up with the times tend to be pointless.
