Day 184

She walked past the white picket fence and through the grandiose door, but it didn’t seem that anyone was home. She wandered through the halls of the house, just basking in the glow of gold. She went out to investigate the backyard, which was still scorched and uncared for as it was the day before. No one was there as expected, so she needed to plan out her next move. The girl decided the library would be her next stop. She went down the cobblestone path once again and towards the library, where she could already see a murder of crows circling it from far ahead. She entered the lifeless library, expecting to see no one but the figure of the librarian at the desk, but to her surprise, there was another shadow.
