Day 163

Prompt: A divorced former couple find each other on the same flight to Paris… Sitting next to each other.

As they boarded the plane, Jack and Lauren were terrified to see that they were in seats next to each other. The eye contact between them was awkward as they got into their seats and put on their seatbelts. For the first several hours of the excursion, they looked on in silence, each lost in their own mind. As the plane began to have turbulence, Lauren and Jack found themselves holding hands and clinging to each other for dear life. The moment of pure fear flooded back memories of their time married and, before they knew it, they were reminiscing together about old times. By the time the plane landed at the Paris airport, Lauren and Jack understood that they had both been latching onto bitterness for too long.
