Day 152

I just finished reading Susannah Gora’s “You Couldn’t Ignore Me If You Tried”. The book shares the story of John Hughes and the Brat Pack’s impact on the eighties and pop culture today. The Brat Pack was a group of up and coming actors in the 1980s who starred in films that captured the angst and difficulties of teenage life. They became popularly known as the Brat Pack because they often showed “rebellious, brat-like behavior” according to tabloids. Through a series of interviews with those involved, she discovers the history behind the works of John Hughes and the movie stars that defined a decade. I have always been a fan of John Hughes movies so this was a great read.
