Day 134

College athletes should not be paid by colleges for the reason that it is not a good investment for colleges and doesn’t truly benefit the athletes. Many colleges simply do not have the funds to pay college athletes, and they also receive many benefits from being college athletes that do not involve being paid. Colleges should not pay student athletes, although some may argue that they should because they bring in revenue for the school. However, college athletes still receive compensation for their work and do not bring in as much money as professional athletes do. Moreover, the money athletes bring in for the school is put right back into the program, benefitting the athletes with improvements to facilities and programs.
