Continuation of yesterday's point...

Comradery has been shattered by the creation of social media. Smartphones create a “replacement friend”, indirectly isolating children from friends by attempting to replace them. Using the internet can never supplant the human need to socialize, and when the replacement is attempted, can create isolation and depression.
